SF Design Week: Exquisite Corpse
Global online community and local meetup group celebrating the motion graphics industry are teaming up to host a special event — a live collaboration where local artists are challenged to animate on the fly in front of a live audience.
The Challenge*: 5 participants are given a random prompt with 5 minutes to animate supplied graphics before switching to another computer to continue. They pick up from the previous animator’s progress and take the work in a new direction. After 3 rounds, the resulting animations are stitched together into a single collaborative piece with a supplied music track and screened on the main projector for the event.
Participants each win a special prize. Swag, snacks and drinks will be provided.

Timeline:
3:30pm – Arrivals & Intros
4:30pm – Animation Challenge Starts!
5:30pm – Screening of the results and giveaway
6:00pm – Community Announcements

Film Screening
On March 28, 2024, we hosted our first IRL meet up which was a film screening of all the collaborative videos we did up until that point! It was hosted at Film Noir, a small independent theater in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
